We don’t have any pets at all. I have terrible allergies sometimes, and that would just make it all the worse. I think that’s nice though, that your dad adopted a cat with special needs. Otherwise, the cat probably never would have found a home.
We had a little dog that had epilepsy. He lived to be 17 years old. He had to take special medication and when we were not home we would have to keep him in a special padded crate. We also had to keep gates up. I think an epileptic cat might be more difficult to care for.
Hi there. I spoke to my Dad yesterday and he says the cat is doing fine. Thankfully no special padded boxes needed when he is alone, (which isn’t often to be honest). The cat cannot go outside alone because of his health, he developed epilepsy after being knocked down by a car. He seems to be a happy kitty though. :)
It’s a family tradition for us to get pets from the pound. As a child I had a dog with a heart problem, he lived a good and long life though. If I get another in the future I will go for something with special needs too, it’s a nice idea.
I think that is really neat that your Dad adopted a cat with epilepsy. He must be a very special person with a big heart to do something like that. That cat is very fortunate that he came along.
I don’t live with my folks and of course they worry about me. The other day I discovered my Dad has adoped an epileptic cat from the rescue center! He is too tough to say much but he did mention that he wanted a cat that needed special care and there it was! Does anyone here have a pet with differences?
