What do we do if we are inside a home where some of family members have opposite interests or goals? The sister of my mother is having this problem because her husband needed to lessen the cholesterol intake for he has high blood pressure already but her son loves to eat meat.

My grandmother has lost one of her kidneys. She is now on a low-sodium diet as well as low-protein diet. Sometimes I don’t like the food because it’s bland but I need eat it. What seasoning can we put on the food so that it won’t taste bland but it won’t be salty for my grandmother.

I have good days and I have bad days. I know it is important to remember not to get trapped in the bad days or they are only that much harder to come back from. How do you rebound from bad days?

Are you on any medications for your PKU?

I do not have to be on medications (at least for now) for my PKU. The doctor says I keep my blood Phe target levels right where they are suppose to be with the specialized diet. There is a chance when I get older that it could change though.
