Yes I do think that words matter. People who say they don’t do not understand the power of words. When I explain my condition I chose my words very carefully.
I agree with you guys I just have a very difficult time trying to put my words together. Even when I do think up the right thing to say it rarely seems to get our of my lips. I mostly just babble :(.
I had this nice long post all typed out and ready to go, and then….POOF! My computer eats it. Lovely…don’t you love it when that happens?
At any rate, I agree with the above posters. Words really do matter, and those who say that don’t clearly don’t know the power of words.
Wow you are typing a post about how words mater and POOF! That is a little bit odd and creepy! I bet whatever you said would have been moving, maybe started world peace.. :( ah well maybe next time.
Cue creepy music ... and if this post disappears I’m signing out! These days I tend to avoid explanations beyond the ‘no thanks, I’m full’ or ‘I don’t really eat meat’. It makes life easier for sure. It takes me a while to trust people enough to tell them more specific things, and even then they have to really want to know.
Heh, Spangels! I like the way that you think. Still after what applepie said I am already so curious to know what was said! Alas it is lost. Maybe If I think more like you I might not be kept up at night. Haha.
Opps, sorry about that stanton! That is just how my mind thinks! Hehe, it does not bother me to occupy my mind with such things! Do not lose any sleep on my part!
I tend to think of my condition in terms of ‘living the PKU lifestyle’. These days many people choose to adopt a way of living which includes diet restrictions and requires special planning sometimes. Do you agree that the way we describe it makes a difference to perceptions of our situation?
